2016 FJHRA Auction

The 2016 FJHRA Auction will take place on Sunday 4th December, at Whately Hall Hotel, Banbury, UK, at approx. 2pm.

5.		Signed and numbered limited edition print of a fabulous Lotus Elite by Dexter Brown This lovely print depicts a Lotus Elite driven by Bill Allen/Trevor Taylor to a class victory at Le Mans in 1961. One of only 100 limited edition prints. Retail value: £110 unframed

7.		1961 Goodwood Formula Junior Driver’s Arm Band and Paddock Pass framed presentation. An original driver’s armband for the 26th RAC meeting, held at the Goodwood circuit on August 19th 1961, together with a ‘competitor’s enclosure’ paddock pass. Professionally framed and glazed to a high standard in a black double vee-groove mount. 310x350mm Guide Price: £100 – £150
8.		A Pair of Original Lotus Formula Junior Export / Lufthansa Press Photographs Large-format period German press photographs, depicting a selection of brand-new Lotus 20 FJ single-seaters being loaded into the cargo bay of a Lufthansa ‘Supercargo’. 10.		A copy of the late John Blunsden’s book ‘Formula Junior’, a first edition copy originally purchased by Cyril Scott-Macarthur on 1/6/61, whose stamp is on the first page. He was one of the first Formula Junior drivers to compete abroad in his Saxon-BMC in 1959, and again the following year when he had changed the engine to a DKW. There is a nice photo of the handsome Maurice Gomm bodied car in the book together with some text. The book is in undamaged condition but lacks its original cover. Guide Price: £50
11.		3 Nights lodging in Carmel for the Monterey Reunion; 17^th – 20^th August 2017 One bedroom and bath for a couple in Ned Spieker’s cottage. Value US $200/night so US $600 or £500 as a guide price.
12.		A week stay in a ski apartment in Saint-Gervais Chris and Melanie are offering a week stay in their 2 bedroom apartment, just 100m from the ski lift, and with a view of Mont Blanc from the balcony. Great access from anywhere in Europe, with Geneva airport being less than an hour away. It is being offered not just in the winter season, but with an option of any week that is not already booked out, from 5^th dec 2016 – 4^th Dec 2017. Currently New Year and February half term are booked out already. The resort of Saint-Gervais (ski domain linked to Megeve) has a wonderful “Frenchness” about it, whilst not being overrun with foreign nationals even in the height of the ski or summer season. Yet within 15 minutes you can be in the glamorous resorts of Chamonix or Megeve. You can be in Italy or Switzerland in less than an hour. Could even make a useful stopover en-route to Monza….
