Stanguellini Ch # CS00121

  • The car is ready to race
  • It has a fuel cell, rear brakes proportioning system, an oil accumulator to maintain oil flow to the motor if the oil pump cavitates. It is not a dry sump system, only a bit of extra oil capacity. It has a fire suppression system, too
  • It has less than two hours on a new engine, which tested 107 hp on a dynamometer at assembly.
  • I have all the parts which came off it during the rebuild in 1996-99.  The silencer and steering wheel in the photos are used for racing.  I also have the original steering wheel and straight exhaust pipe as furnished originally.
  • The chassis number is CS00121, an early chassis which was very successfully raced by Roberto Bussinello in 1959.
  • At the end of that season, he sold his ownership in the car back to the factory. I have a letter in his handwriting to that effect.
  • Believed that the factory used CS00121 on a new chassis, as this entire car (chassis, suspension, bodywork) is easily late 1960, at least. It has the sliding block rear suspension, longer trailing arms in the rear, body cutouts for the external rear damper, and long-nose bodywork.
  • Price is 150,000 US Dollars.
  • In present ownership since 2006
