1962 Lynx Mk 3

  • 1962 Lynx FJ with Ford engine and four speed Hewland gearbox, disc brakes front and drums rear. Only 7 Mk 3 Lynx FJ’s were made in period and this is only one with this unique specification.
  • Ron Tauranac (designer of early Brabhams and dominant Ralts) designed the Lynx FJ and hence it is a very well thought-out and competitive FJ. Sister cars have taken overall honours at the Goodwood Revival and have been Lurani Class Champions.
  • The specification enables it to run in the E2 Class. Given it is a very competitive car (e.g. class winner and class lap record holder at Oulton Park), it has the potential to win the Lurani and Silverline Championships outright, as well as being a shoo-in for Class honours.
  • Being the last of only seven built it is quite a rare car and hence attracts interest for prestigious events such as the Goodwood Revival and the like.
  • Well known and ultra-reliable car which competed in most rounds of the last World Tour. Everything is in date including a current HTP [exp: 31/12/2027]. It is ready to race, with tyres that have only done three meetings.
  •  It comes with a newly fitted and painted light weight body so will likely to need ballast to bring it up to weight, enabling this to be positioned to maximise handling. The car is extremely well sorted and drives and handles well.
  • The following comes with the car:
  • A spare set of wheels in new condition, spare nose and undertray (painted and in excellent condition), complete new set of suspension arms and wishbones (carried as spares in case of an accident), assortment of gear ratios, spare master cylinders, brake linings, assortment of the usual spares, etc.
  • The car resides in the UK all taxes paid
  •  It is for sale at GBP55,000.00 for the package.
  • There is also a crated spare engine unused since a rebuild for a further GBP10,000.00

Lotus 27

  • Unique Lotus 27, with amazing Tasmin and Grand Prix history!
  • Arguably the most successful Lotus 27 in recent Formula Junior history, despite being driven by a 60+ year-old. Numerous class and overall wins, for example during the recent FJ Diamond Jubilee World tour it took wins in 3 of the sectors – Australia, New Zealand and North America.
  • The car has been recently completely rebuilt, including the monocoque being totally redone by Roach Manufacturing and Setford & Company.
  • The engine is the latest spec Richardson, which is recently refreshed and the gearbox has been totally rebuilt in the last few months. The car is fully race prepared and ready to go.
  • The history is complete and documented and given it competed for several years post 1963 as a 1.5 L Grand Prix car competing in the Tasman Series and Australian GP Races, it should potentially be eligible to run with the HGPCA as well.
  • Full history and further detailed description available on request and can be viewed at Absolute Engineering (Kimbolton).
