EFAC Stanguellini

- Prototype front engined Formula Junior race car built by Phillipe Faure in Boulonge-sur-Mer in 1959.
- The chassis is based on a Bialbero Stanguellini Barchetta modified in the EFAC workshop.
- Similar to a regular Stanguellini however with a longer wheelbase, lower profile, and with a sleeker aluminium body, giving the car a distinctive look, not unlike a Maserati 250F.
- The original engine based on Fiat and Simca components was fitted with twin Weber carburettors and the suspension parts borrowed from Dauphin and Peugeot.
- On completion the car was track tested by the French newspaper LEquip in 1959, the test driver reporting superb road holding, acceleration, and a top speed of around 200km/h.
- In current ownership since 2011, forming part of a collection.
- Raced with FJ in 2012, winning the Front Engined Class A Championship and competed with FJ in 2013, 4th in class.
- Invitations followed in the 2012 Revival and 2014 Members Meeting.
- This car has just undergone race preparation for 2023 including new belts and fire extinguisher system, prepared by David Abbott who has always looked after it under current ownership.
