1961 Lotus 20 20-J-960

  • This is the 2nd of 3 Lotus 20’s raced by Leo and Pete Geoghegan and kept for 19 months being raced initially as their Junior then as their ANF 1.5 car when the Lotus 22 came on stream as the Junior.
  • Australian C of D as the Junior representing 1962 with Hewland 5 speed, front discs and 1100cc.
  • At 12 meetings the Junior did 15 starts for 8 firsts, 2 seconds and a third over 15 races.
  • At 9 meetings as a 1.5 2 firsts, 5 seconds 2 thirds and 9th outright  AGP 1963 Warwick Farm where Jack Brabham was the winner.
  • Then to Terry Rogers and others.
  • Full documented history amounting to over 200 pages.
  • The car has photos showing a camber link in the rear suspension as the Junior, which Leo told me he preferred as a safety measure.

COOPER T52 FJ/4/60

  • FJ/4/60 is the oldest surviving Cooper T52 in the world.
  • The original owner was Curt Lincoln of Finland/Sweden.
  • This car is the fourth car produced out of a total of sixteen which bear chassis numbers.
  • A further eleven were produced in kit form.
  • This car first raced on May 15th 1960 at Djurgarden, Helsinki, Finland finishing first, then went to Monaco on May 28th 1960 where it finished fifth.
  • On July 10th 1960 it finished first in Vastkustloppet, Sweden, then on August 7th 1960 it finished second in Kannonloppet, Sweden.
  • The car has also raced in Historics in Great Britain and New Zealand.
  • In April 2008 it was imported into Australia by Mike Gosbell and is the only one of its type here.
  • Since then it has raced in Victoria and New South Wales.

Lotus 18

  • This car (chassis 710) was originally sold to Peter Arundell on April 19, 1960.
  • He competed in 22 races during 1960 in this Team Lotus prepared car, including 7 race wins.
  • The car spent time in the USA before its current owner shipped the car to Great Britain in 2017 where it was fully rebuilt & restored to an extremely high specification by Hi-Tech Motorsport

1960 Faccioli

  • In 1960, racing driver Massimo Bondi commissioned Aldo Faccioli (OSFA) to build this car, one of the first mid-engined Italian Formula Juniors, pleasing lines echoing Maserati 250F.
  • The Faccioli was competitive in period, driven in Italian races by Cesare and Anzio Zucchi. In the 1970s, the Faccioli was exhibited at the Monza Museum.
  • Raced at Goodwood revival in 1998 and 2017.
  • Car fully restored in 2011 by Setford and Company, who has maintained car since then.  Raced in Europe 2011-2017.
  • Numerous class wins and Lurani Class C winner in 2014 and runner up 2017.

Lola Mk5 – BRJ 49

  • Originally bought and raced by David Hitches with some Lola works support.
  • Driving the car in 1962, Hitches won the Circuit of Lake Garda, and among other results was second to Jo Siffert at Cesenatico.
  • Len Selby raced it as Formula Junior and then as a one litre Formula 3 car
  • In 1964 Formula Junior ends and BRJ 49 races initially in F3 and then in club racing with several different owners
  • A G Horsley, A O C Moore, Ken Reece, A T Sanders
  • 1983 Tony Steele was second in the FISA pre-’65 championship in BRJ 49
  • 1984 Tony Steele wins the FISA pre-’65 championship in BRJ 49
  • 1985 to 1990 – Alan Baillie owns and drives the car successfully in the late 1980’s.
  • 1985 Iain Rowley drove the car for Alan Baillie in a race at Thruxton
  • Alan Baillie sells BRJ 49 to Marc Valvekens who is based in Brussels.
  • Ian Robinson buys BRJ 49 from Marc Valvekens in the mid 1990’s
  • BRJ 49 has been owned by Ian Robinson for the last twenty-five years and has been driven during the last few seasons by Iain Rowley.
  • Iain Rowley won the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix in the car in 2017 and has consistently finished his races in the leading group. Benn Tilley drove the car to fifth place in the Jubilee race at the Silverstone Classic last year.
  • It has a Geoff Richardson Engineering engine which was recently overhauled and updated by them. The gearbox was built by PDS and comes with a complete set of spare ratios.
  • HTP is valid until 2026 and the car is ready to race.
